Soft Molasses Cookies Recipe
Soft molasses cookies are baked with light molasses along with spices and cinnamon for a heady mix of flavor. Chewy and topped with a raisins, the soft molasses cookies are all time favorite cookies at my family
Ingredients
| Flour | 2 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), sifted | |
| Baking powder | 4 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Baking soda | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Egg | 1 | |
| 1 cup soft shortening | ||
| 1/2 cup light molasses | ||
| Milk | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Lemon extract | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Firmly packed brown sugar | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Cinnamon | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Ginger | 1 Teaspoon | |
| 1/2 teaspoon cloves Raisins for topping | ||
Directions
Sift flour, baking powder, soda and salt together into large mixing bowl.
Put remaining ingredients except raisins into Osterizer container, cover and process at BLEND until smooth.
Pour into dry ingredients and mix well.
Chill for 1 hour.
Heat oven to 375°.
Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheets, top each with a raisin.
Bake 12 to 15 minutes.
Put remaining ingredients except raisins into Osterizer container, cover and process at BLEND until smooth.
Pour into dry ingredients and mix well.
Chill for 1 hour.
Heat oven to 375°.
