| Boiling water | 1 Teaspoon (Dissolved In 1 Cup Boiling Water) | |
| Flour | 2 1⁄2 Cup (40 tbs) | |
| Eggs | 2 , well beaten |

Directions
Add molasses, baking soda and hot water.
Sift flour and spices and add to mixture.
Add the two well beaten eggs last.
Bake in a 350 degree oven for about 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out dry.
Serve hot with whipped cream.
