Directions

Cream butter or margarine with sugar, add vanilla.
Add eggs and beat well.
Mix flour, salt, baking powder, and baking soda.
Add to creamed mixture alternately with sour cream.
You may add chocolate Chips or raisins, or sprinkle with colored sugar, or sugar and cinnamon before baking.
Drop on greased and floured cookie sheets.
Bake at 400 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
I have made these cookies for a number of years for my children, and now for grandchildren.
This recipe is fast and easy.

These are really good sugar cookies, slightly cake-like. They will rise and also spread a bit, as well as the actual slightly cake texture. This is truly a very soft cookie. I found it contained enough sugar for me, others wanted a light sprinkle of sugar on top. Good or bad idea I tasted the batter before baking :p and it tastes exactly like the cookie when it was baked. Again thank you.
