Soft Creamy Custard Sauce Recipe

Ingredients

 
4 egg yolks
 
2 cups (1 pint) light cream
 
4 tablespoons sugar
 
1/8 teaspoon salt
 
1 teaspoon vanilla
 
1 1/2 teaspoons instant coffee powder

Directions

Beat together thoroughly egg yolks, cream, sugar, and salt.
Place in top of double boiler, and cook over hot water, stirring until mixture coats a silver spoon.
Strain custard, add vanilla and instant coffee powder, and allow to cool
