Soda Water Pastry Recipe
Ingredients
| Flour | 6 Ounce | |
| Butter | 6 Ounce | |
| Cream of tartar | 1⁄4 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 1 Pinch | |
| Soda water | (as required) |
Directions
Grate butter into flour, mixed with salt and cream of tartar.
Mix with sufficient soda water to make a soft dough.
Dough can be used immediately, or wrapped and kept in the 'fridge.
It will keep for a week.
OR Cut 1 lb.
butter into 1 lb.
flour, sifted with a pinch of salt.
Mix with a small bottle of soda water.
If time permits, roll and fold three times, chilling in between.
Or chill at least 1 hour before using; roll out thinly.
Bake at 450° F.
