Soda Biscuits Recipe
Ingredients
| All purpose flour | 2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Baking powder | 2 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Soda | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 1 Teaspoon | |
| 1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons shortening | ||
| Sour milk | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Directions
Combine flour, baking powder, soda, and salt; cut in shortening with pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse meal.
Add milk, stirring until milk is blended.
Turn dough out onto a lightly floured board and knead lightly about 20 seconds.
Pat dough to 1/2-inch thickness; cut into rounds with a 2-inch biscuit cutter.
Place on a greased baking sheet and bake at 450° for 10 to 12 minutes.
