Snowy, Cold Or Rainy Day Spaghetti Recipe
Ingredients
3 pounds ground beef
2 (15 ounce) cans whole tomatoes
2 (6 ounce) cans tomato paste
1 (4 ounce) can chopped mushrooms, drained
2 ribs celery, diced
1 green bell pepper, diced
1 large onion, diced
2 garlic cloves, minced
Salt and pepper to taste
Pinch of sugar
Chili powder
3 pounds spaghetti, cooked, drained
Directions
Brown the ground beef in a skillet, stirring until crumbly; drain.
Place the undrained tomatoes in a large kettle and press to crush.
Stir in the tomato paste, mushrooms, celery, green pepper, onion and garlic.
Stir in the ground beef, salt, pepper and sugar.
Sprinkle the chili powder sparingly over the beef mixture, as it gets stronger as it cooks.
Cook over low heat for no less than 6 hours, stirring occasionally.
Serve over spaghetti and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
