Ingredients

 
Pumpkin-Orange Smoothie:
 
2/3 cup orange juice
 
2/3 cup 1% lowfat milk
 
1/2 cup canned solid pack pumpkin
 
1/2 of a medium banana, sliced and frozen
 
2 tablespoons honey (more or less to taste)
 
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
 
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
 
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
 
Blueberry Smoothie:
 
1 cup frozen blueberries
 
1/2 cup plain nonfat yogurt
 
1/2 cup apple or cranberry juice
 
2 tablespoons honey (more or less to taste)
 
1/2 of a medium banana, sliced and frozen
 
1 packed cup pre-washed baby spinach leaves

Directions

Pumpkin-Orange Smoothie:
Place all of the ingredients in a blender. Cover and blend until smooth. Makes 2 servings.

Blueberry Smoothie:
Combine all of the ingredients except the spinach in a blender; blend until smooth. Add the spinach to the blender, pushing down into the smoothie (to more easily blend the leaves). Blend until smooth. Makes 2 servings.
