Ingredients

 Dry white wine3 Cup (16 tbs)
 1 teaspoon chopped shallot or onion
 6 dozen canned snails and shells
 Snail butter

Directions

1. Boil the wine with the shallot until reduced by one-half. Strain.
2. Add a little wine to each shell, insert a snail and cover the opening with snail butter. Bake in a preheated hot oven (450° F.) ten minutes.
