Smothered Baked Steak Recipe
Ingredients
| 3-lb. lean beef round steak, cut 2-in. thick and trimmed of fat | ||
| Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Pepper | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| 1 cup unsweetened pineapple juice | ||
| 6-02. can tomato paste | ||
| Worcestershire sauce | 3 Tablespoon | |
| Lemon juice | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Garlic | 1 Clove (5gm), minced | |
| Sliced mushrooms | 4 Ounce | |
| Onions | 2 Large, sliced | |
Directions
GETTING READY
1) Preheat moderate oven 325°.
MAKING
2) In a shallow roasting pan place the steak on a rack and brown under the broiler.
3) Take out the fat.
4) Sprinkle salt and pepper.
5) Mix all ingredients.
6) Pour the mixture on the meat.
7) Roast uncovered in oven for 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
SERVING
8) Cut the meat diagonally and serve.
