Sloppy Franks Recipe
Sloppy franks are open faced sandwiches made with veggies and frankfurters in barbecue sauce. Prepared in a microwave, the frankfurter topping is cooked in microwave along with onions and green peppers.
Ingredients
| Onion | 1 Small, chopped | |
| Green pepper | 1/3 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| Butter/Margarine | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Barbecue sauce | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Catsup | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1 pound frankfurters, cut into 1/4 inch slices | ||
| Hamburger buns | 12 | |
Directions
Place onion, green pepper and margarine in 1 quart casserole.
Cover and microwave until vegetables are tender, 3 to 4 minutes.
Stir in barbecue sauce, catsup and frankfurters.
Cover and microwave 2 1/2 minutes; stir.
Cover and microwave until mixture boils, 2 to 3 minutes.
Spoon mixture into buns on serving plate.
Microwave uncovered until buns are hot, 1 to 2 minutes.
