Sloppy Joes On Whole Wheat Buns Recipe

1 tablespoon CRISCO® Vegetable Oil
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup chopped celery
1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
1/2 cup shredded carrots
1 1/4 pounds ground beef round
1/2 cup ketchup
1/2 cup water
1 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Dash of hot pepper sauce
8 whole wheat light sandwich buns
Directions
Heat Crisco® Oil in large skillet on medium heat.
Add onion, celery, green pepper and carrots.
Cook and stir until tender.
Add meat.
Cook until browned, stirring occasionally.
Drain.
Stir in ketchup, water, chili powder, salt, black pepper and hot pepper sauce.
Reduce heat to low.
Simmer 15 minutes or until thick enough to spoon into buns.
