Ingredients

 8 ounces 90% lean ground beef
 Onion3/4 Cup (16 tbs), chopped
 Green pepper3/4 Cup (16 tbs), chopped
 Garlic1 Clove (5gm), minced
 Tomatoes1/2 Ounce
 Water1/4 Cup (16 tbs)
 Oat bran2 Tablespoon
 Vinegar1 Tablespoon
 Brown sugar2 Teaspoon
 Chili powder 1 1/2 Teaspoon
 Worcestershire sauce1 Teaspoon
 Salt1/8 Teaspoon
 Dash bottled hot pepper sauce
 5 hamburger buns, split and toasted

Directions

In a large skillet cook meat, onion, green pepper, and garlic till meat is brown.
Drain off fat.
Stir in the undrained tomatoes, the water, oat bran, vinegar, brown sugar, chili powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and hot pepper sauce.
Bring to boiling; reduce heat.
Cover and simmer for 5 minutes.
If necessary, uncover and simmer for 3 to 5 minutes more or till mixture is the desired consistency.
