Ingredients

 Butter2 Ounce
 Flour5 Ounce

 Lard2 Ounce

Directions

Cream butter with yolks of 3 eggs and 2 oz. sugar; then add milk, flour and a dash of salt.
Finally fold in stiffly beaten whites of 3 eggs.
Heat fat in frying pan and when hot, pour a tablespoonful of batter in to make a pancake a little thicker than usual.
Fry one side over slow heat and then slip on to a dish.
Dredge unfried side with vanilla sugar.
Continue making pancakes as long as any batter is left, frying each only on one side and slipping over the top of the pancake below.
Finally fry both sides of the last pancake and cover the others with it.
Put into a hot oven for 10 mins., and serve dredged with vanilla sugar.
Another way to make this dish is to sprinkle sugar, grated chocolate, sweetened ground walnuts, or sweetened roasted and ground almonds between the layers instead of vanilla sugar.
You can also whip the whites of the eggs stiff, adding 1 oz, sugar for every egg white and spread the cake like affair with this meringue.
Decorate top with the help of icing bag.
Bake for 10 mins. in hot oven.
