Sliced Potatoes And Onions Recipe

4 large potatoes, peeled and sliced
2 tablespoons shortening
2 medium onions, cut in rings
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup water
Parmesan cheese
Directions
Peel and slice potatoes; set aside in cold water to keep from turning dark.
Heat shortening in cooker; tan the onions.
Add potatoes, salt, and water.
Close cover of cooker securely; put pressure control in place.
When pressure is reached; cook for 3 minutes.
Cool at once under running water.
Place potatoes in serving dish and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
The heat of the potatoes will melt the cheese so that all flavors blend.
