Sliced Cranberry Pot Roast Recipe
Ingredients
| 1 pound top round beef steak, cut 1/2 3/4 inch thick | ||
| Water | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Sugar | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Margarine | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Flour | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Potatoes | 3 Medium, quartered | |
| Cranberry sauce | 1 Cup (16 tbs), jellied | |
Directions
Trim fat from beef; cut into 4 equal portions.
In margarine, saute the meat until brown over low heat.
Blend the flour into margarine in pan.
Add cranberry sauce, water, sugar and salt.
Cover; simmer gently for 30 minutes.
Then turn meat and add potatoes.
Cook an hour longer or until meat and potatoes are tender.
