 1 pound top round beef steak, cut 1/2 3/4 inch thick
 Water1/2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Sugar1 Tablespoon
 Margarine2 Tablespoon
 Salt1/2 Teaspoon
 Flour1 Tablespoon
 Potatoes3 Medium, quartered
 Cranberry sauce1 Cup (16 tbs), jellied

Directions

Trim fat from beef; cut into 4 equal portions.
In margarine, saute the meat until brown over low heat.
Blend the flour into margarine in pan.
Add cranberry sauce, water, sugar and salt.
Cover; simmer gently for 30 minutes.
Then turn meat and add potatoes.
Cook an hour longer or until meat and potatoes are tender.
