| Egg | 1 | |
| Cornstarch | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 1 Teaspoon | |
| 2 tablespoons oil or melted lard | ||
| Garlic | 1 Clove (5gm) | |
| Tomatoes | 4 Large | |
| 1 tablespoon tomato catsup | ||
| Sugar | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Soy sauce | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Sherry | 1 Tablespoon | |
Directions
Cut the meat into thin slices, add the egg and cornflour (cornstarch); mix well until coated.
Heat the salt oil and garlic, remove the garlic and fry the beef over fierce heat, stirring all the time, for 2 minutes.
Remove from the pan.
Slice the tomatoes and fry in the remaining fat for 1 minute.
Add the beef, tomato ketchup (catsup), sugar, soy sauce and sherry, mix well and bring to the boil.
Mix well again.
