Ingredients

 
3 tablespoons butter or margarine Uncooked instant or converted rice (enough for 6 servings)
 
1 small onion, chopped
 
2 teaspoons instant beef bouillon
 
1/2 teaspoon salt
 
1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom
 
1/4 teaspoon turmeric
 
1/4 teaspoon allspice
 
1/8 teaspoon pepper

Directions

Melt butter in large skillet; cook and stir rice in butter until brown.
Remove from heat.
Stir in amount of water as directed on package for 6 servings and the remaining ingredients.
Cook as di rected on package or until liquid is absorbed and rice is tender.
