Skillet Beef Stew With Noodles Recipe
Ingredients
| Olive oil | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Onions | 3 Small, sliced | |
| 3 lbs. lean beef for stew, cut in 1 1/2 in. pieces | ||
| Garlic | 3 Clove (5gm), minced | |
| Salt | 2 Teaspoon | |
| Oregano | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Red pepper | 1/2 Teaspoon, crushed | |
| Beef broth | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Tomatoes | 1 Can (10oz), drained | |
| 2 green peppers, cut in pieces | ||
Directions
Heat oil in a large skillet; add onions and cook until tender, stirring occasionally; remove onions with a slotted spoon to a bowl.
Add the meat to skillet and brown evenly over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
Mix garlic with the salt; add to skillet along with onions, oregano, red pepper, and broth.
Bring to boiling; cover and simmer 2 hours, or until meat is almost tender.
Add the tomatoes and cut into pieces with a spoon.
Stir in green pepper, cover and cook about 15 minutes longer.
