 1/4 c. melted butter, margarine, fat, or salad oil
 Water1/4 Cup (16 tbs)
 1 qt. thinly sliced, pared, raw white potatoes
 Onions2 Cup (16 tbs), thinly sliced
 Canned tomatoes1 1/2 Cup (16 tbs)
 1 tablesp. salt
 Pepper1/4 Teaspoon

Directions

Combine butter and water in skillet.
Arrange potatoes and onions in layers on top.
Cover, and simmer 10 min.
Add tomatoes, to which salt and pepper have been added.
Cover, and simmer 20 min longer.
