| Canned Tomato Soup - 1 , 10 3/4 | ||
| Beef | 1 1/2 Pound | |
| Fine Dry Breadcrumbs - 1/2 cup | ||
| Egg - 1 lightly beaten | ||
| Onion | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs), finely chopped | |
| Pepper - a generous dash | ||
| Shortening | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Water | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Prepared mustard | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Processed cheese slice | 2 , halved | |
Directions
GETTING READY
1) Into a bowl. mix the 1/4 cup soup with meat, breadcrumbs, egg, onion, salt and pepper and mix thoroughly
2) Using the hands roll the meat mixture into 2 loaves
MAKING
3) In a skillet, put the shortening and fry the loaves
4) Drain off any excess fat
5) Stir in the water, mustard and remaining soup
6) Sprinkle the top of the loaves with cheese
7) Fry again for another 10 minutes
SERVING
8)Slice the loaves and serve with some buttered bread and salad
