Ingredients
| 6 pork chops (1/2 inch thick) | ||
| Onion | 2 Cup (16 tbs), thinly sliced | |
| Cold water | 2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Salt | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Pepper | 1 Dash | |
| Marjoram | 1/8 Tablespoon | |
| 1-1/3 C. pre-cooked type rice | ||
Directions
Trim excess fat from pork chops, leaving about 1/4 inch.
Fry trimmings in large skillet over medium heat to make 1 T.of melted fat; add chops and brown on each side.
Remove chops, put onions in skillet, and cook about 5 minutes, stirring frequently, or until lightly browned.
Add water, rice, marjoram, salt and pepper.
Mix well; place chops on top.
Cover, bring to boil, then cook over low heat 45 minutes or until tender.
Serves 3-4.
