Skillet Cheese Sandwich Recipe
Ingredients
| 2 slices whole wheat bread, lightly buttered on one side | ||
| Cheese | 2 Ounce, sliced | |
| 1 thin slice of onion | ||
| Thin slices of tomato | ||
| Vegetarian bacon bits | ||
| Garlic powder or curry powder | ||
| Black pepper | 1 To taste | |
Directions
Place one slice of bread, buttered side down, in a small skillet. Arrange cheese, onion and tomato on bread. Sprinkle with vegetarian bacon bits and a pinch of garlic powder or curry powder. Add pepper to taste.
Top with other slice of bread, buttered side up. Place a lid on the skillet and cook over medium-low heat until bottom slice is browned and toasty. Turn with a spatula and brown other side. Cheese should be well melted. Serve at once.
