Skewered Beef With Sesame Marinade Recipe
Ingredients
| Sesame Marinade | ||
| Soy sauce | 1/3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Red vinegar | 2 Teaspoon | |
| 2 teaspoons Chinese sesame oil | ||
| Garlic | 2 Clove (5gm), minced | |
| Pepper | 1/8 Teaspoon | |
| 1 tablespoon lightly toasted sesame seeds | ||
| 1/2 cup dry white wine or sake | ||
| Flank steak | 1 1/4 Pound | |
| 12 6-inch bamboo skewers, soaked in water 10 minutes, drained | ||
| Green onion | 12 2 Inch | |
Directions
Cut meat against the grain into thin slices about 2 1/2 by.1/2 inch.
Combine all marinade ingredients in a bowl and pour marinade into a large resealable plastic bag.
Add meat strips to marinade.
Seal the bag securely and turn 2 or 3 times to coat the meat.
Refrigerate and marinate for 2 hours, turning bag occasionally.
Drain and discard marinade.
Thread meat onto skewers, using in-and-out technique.
Put a green onion on the end of each skewer.
Preheat stovetop grill.
Grill kabobs over medium-high heat until meat is cooked to taste, about 3 to 4 minutes.
Turn occasionally during grilling.
Remove kabobs to a serving dish.
