Six Grain Granola Recipe
Ingredients
| 3 cups regular rolled oats | ||
| Whole wheat flour | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Rye flour | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Firmly packed brown sugar | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1/3 cup each shredded coconut, hulled salted sunflower seeds, and sesame seeds | ||
| Salt | 1 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| 1/2 cup creamy or chunk-style peanut butter | ||
| 1/2 cup each salad oil and water | ||
| Vanilla | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
Directions
In a large mixing bowl, combine rolled oats, whole wheat flour, cornmeal, rye flour, millet, wheat germ, sugar, coconut, sunflower seeds, sesame seeds, and salt.
In a blender, combine peanut butter, oil, water, and vanilla; whirl until well combined.
Add to the rolled oat mixture and mix well with your hands.
Then crumble the mixture into a large broiler pan, forming an even layer.
Bake, uncovered, in a 250° oven for 1 hour; stir every 20 minutes.
Turn off oven; leave mixture in closed oven until completely cooled.
Store airtight.
