Ingredients

 
1 beef sirloin steak (2 pounds), cut about
 
1 inch thick
 
1 cup thinly sliced onion
 
1 medium lemon, thinly sliced
 
1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter or margarine, softened
 
2 tablespoons prepared mustard
 
1 cup chili sauce
 
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
 
1 teaspoon chili powder
 
1 can (6 ounces) cocktail vegetable juice

Directions

1. Trim fat from steak. Cut steak into serving pieces and put into an 8-inch square glass baking dish. Arrange onion and lemon slices over meat.
2. Cream butter and prepared mustard; blend in chili sauce, Worcestershire sauce, chili powder and vegetable juice. Pour mixture over onion and lemon. Cover with plastic wrap.
3. Cook in microwave oven 15 minutes at High, or until meat is done as desired; rotate dish one-quarter turn twice during cooking period.
4. Remove from oven. Let stand covered 5 minutes before serving.
