Simple Tomato Sauce Recipe
Ingredients
| 2 tablespoons unrefined oil | ||
| Onion | 1 Large, chopped | |
| 2 or 3 cloves garlic, finely chopped | ||
| 8 large tomatoes, cut in large chunks and blended until smooth | ||
| Sea salt | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Pepper | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| 1 tablespoon tamari soy sauce or 1 more teaspoon sea salt | ||
| Raw honey | 1 Tablespoon | |
| 1 tablespoon each chopped chives and parsley | ||
Directions
Heat a large, heavy skillet on medium heat.
Add the oil, onions, and garlic and saute until soft.
Add the blended tomatoes and then all the other ingredients.
Simmer, uncovered, over a low heat until bright red and thick.
If too thin, cook a little longer or sprinkle 1 tablespoon arrowroot powder over the sauce.
Let soften, stir, and simmer 5 minutes more.
Add the oil, onions, and garlic and saute until soft.
Add the blended tomatoes and then all the other ingredients.
