| Grated parmesan cheese | 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) |

Directions
2. Add the onion and sauté until the onion is translucent.
3. Add the garlic and sauté for 1 minute.
4. Add the tomato puree and mix thorougly.
5. Add the basil, oregano, bay leaf, salt, and, black pepper.
6. Lower the heat to a simmer and cook uncovered for 15 minutes or to taste.
7. Use the sauce with the pasta of your choice.
8. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese to taste.
