Ingredients
2 tbsp. soft butter
1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup liquid honey
1 1/2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup chopped dried figs
1/4 cup chopped dried apricots
1/4 cup currants
Lemon Butter Sauce
Directions
Beat butter, sugar and honey together thoroughly.
Sift flour, salt, baking powder and spices together and add to first mixture alternately with milk, beating well after each addition.
Stir in fruit.
Spoon into well greased 1 1/2-qt. mold or pudding dish.
Cover with aluminum toil.
Put on rack in large kettle, add boiling water to halfway up sides of mold,cover tightly and steam pudding 2 hours.
Unmold pudding, cut in wedges and top with lemon butter sauce to serve.
Note: Leftover pudding can be re-steamed for another day.
