Simple Choucroute Garnie Recipe
Ingredients
| 6 thick slices of bacon | ||
| Sauerkraut | 1 Quart, drained, rinsed | |
| 6 pork chops, about 3/4 inch thick | ||
| Onion | 1 Medium, sliced | |
| Peppercorns | 12 | |
| Juniper berries | 6 | |
| 2 cups chicken bouillon and 1 cup dry white wine or 3 cups chicken bouillon | ||
Directions
Arrange bacon in bottom of large saucepan or deep skillet.
Top with sauerkraut and pork chops.
Combine remaining ingredients and pour over chops.
Cover and simmer for about 1 hour.
