Simmered Chicken Recipe
Ingredients
| 1 broiler fryer whole or cut in serving size pieces | ||
| Water | 2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Onion | 1 Small, sliced | |
| 2 celery tops | ||
| Bay leaves | 2 | |
| Monosodium glutamate | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Pepper | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
Directions
Put chicken in kettle; add water and remaining ingredients.
Bring to a boil, cover tightly.
Reduce heat and simmer 1 hour.
Remove from heat; strain broth.
Refrigerate chicken and broth.
When chicken is cool, remove meat from bones; dice.
