Shrimps Sauteed With Bamboo Shoots Recipe

Bamboo shoots have been paired with a lot of seafood but I like them best with shrimps and these Shrimps With Bamboo Shoots have literally swept me off my feet ! I eat them as an accompaniment with rice ! How would you like to have them ?

Ingredients

 
1 1/2 pounds shrimps
 
3 slices ginger
 
2 bamboo shoots
 
2 tablespoons cornstarch
 
1 teaspoon salt
 
2 tablespoons sherry
 
1 stalk scallion, cut into 1/2 inch sections
 
3 tablespoons oil

Directions

Cut the ginger into 1/2 inch pieces and the bamboo shoots into 1/2 inch cubes.
Shell and devein the shrimps and cut into 1/2 inch pieces.
Mix with the cornstarch, salt, sherry, scallions and ginger.
Heat pan with the oil, and when it is very hot add the shrimp mixture.
Stir once, and then add the bamboo shoots and saute together for about 4 minutes.
Serve very hot on a shallow plate.
