Shrimps Fried In Shells Recipe
These crispy fried and marinaded shrimps with shells make an irresistible snack when served with sauces ! Munch on these cripsy shrimps along with the shells which are fried to a soft and chewy form ! Just try eating these Shrimps fried in shells and feel free to comment on them to me ! These make fabulous party appetizers too !
Ingredients
1 1/2 pounds large shrimps
Enough oil for deep frying
Marinade:
1 teaspoon sugar
4 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons sherry
1 teaspoon chopped ginger
1 stalk scallion, chopped fine
Directions
Clean the shrimps, remove the legs and the veins.
The black vein in the back may be removed by pulling it from the head end.
If unsuccessful, use a knife and break the shell but leave the shell on.
Dry the shrimps well.
Heat a pan filled up to 2 inches of oil and when it is very hot, lower the shrimps into it and fry for about 5 minutes or until they turn red.
Remove to a shallow bowl.
Mix the marinade together, pour over the shrimps and let them marinate for 1/2 hour or until you are ready to serve.
Serve cold.
