Poached Chinese Shrimp Dumplings Recipe Video

Shrimp dumplings are also known as shrimp shumai in chinese. Why do you need to go to a chinese restaurant when you can make those yummy dumplings at home? This recipe is little involved but worth the effort. Hope you enjoy.

Ingredients

 
Shrimps
 
Green onions
 
1/2 tsp Sesame seed oil
 
Wanton wrappers
 
Black pepper
 
Salt
 
Corn starch
 
1 egg
 
1 tbsp Bovril

Directions

Quickly rinse the shrimps and put them in a blender.
Chop and add some sesame seed oil. Add 1/2 tsp sesame seed oil.
Add 1 tbsp corn starch, 1 egg, some freshly cracked black pepper and some salt.
Pulse the whole thing together.
Lay wanton wrappers and put about 1/2 tbsp of shrimp mixture in each wrapper.
Fold the wrappers diagonally.
Boil water in a large pot. Add 1 tbsp bovril.
Then dump those shrimp dumplings in boiling water. Poach for 1-2 minutes.
