Shrimp Creole Recipe

Ingredients
3 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup thin strips green pepper
1/2 cup diced celery
1 clove garlic, minced
1 can (16 ounces) tomatoes, drained
1 can (8 ounces) tomato sauce
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
Dash Tabasco
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 pound cooked shrimp, peeled and deveined
Directions
In a 3-quart glass casserole, blend butter, onion, green pepper, celery, and garlic.
Cook 3 to 4 minutes, stirring halfway through cooking time.
Stir in tomatoes, tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce, salt, sugar, chili powder, and Tabasco.
Cook 8 minutes, stirring every 3 minutes.
In a 1 cup glass measure, blend cornstarch with 2 tablespoons liquid from tomato mixture, and blend into casserole.
Cook 3 to 4 minutes, stirring halfway through cooking time.
Fold in shrimp and heat 2 to 3 minutes.
Rest 10 minutes before serving.
