Ingredients

 
Onion- 1/2, medium-sized, chopped
 
Mushrooms- 1/2 cup, chopped
 
Butter- 2 tablespoons
 
Flour- 2 tablespoons
 
Mushroom broth- 1 cup
 
Water- 1 cup
 
Salt- 1/2 teaspoon
 
Pepper- 1/8 teaspoon
 
Cayenne- a small amount
 
Thyme- 1/4 teaspoon
 
Bay leaf- 1
 
Pimientos- 2, chopped
 
Shrimp- 2 cups, cooked
 
Wheat biscuits Butter- 4
 
Parsley- 3 sprigs

Directions

MAKING
1.In a pan, sauté onion and mushrooms in butter for 3 minutes
2.Now stir in flour and cook for 1 minute
3.Add liquid gradually and cook until mixture thickens, make sure to keep stirring constantly
4.Now add seasonings, pimientos and shrimp and cook for 5 minutes
5.Remove bay leaf, 1/2 medium-sized onion, chopped
SERVING
6.Serve over rice
