Ingredients

 
French baguette - 1
 
Olive oil - as required
 
Salt - to taste
 
Pepper - to taste
 
Plum tomatoes - 2 to 3, chopped
 
Fresh basil leaves - 1 tablespoon, chopped
 
Garlic - 1 to 2 teaspoons
 
Crushed red peppers - to taste
 
Balsamic vinegar - 1 to 2 teaspoons
 
Cooked shrimp - 15 to 20

Directions

GETTING READY
1) Preheat the broiler.
2) Cut the French baguette with a serrated knife into slices.

MAKING
3) Brush the slices with olive oil, season with salt and pepper.
4) Toast the sliced bread under the preheated broiler for about 10 minutes until toasted and browned.
5) In a bowl, combine, the tomatoes, basil, garlic, salt, pepper, balsamic vinegar, crushed red peppers, olive oil and shrimp together; mix thoroughly.

FINALIZING
6) Remove the bread slices from the broiler and spoon over the shrimp mixture.

SERVING
7) Garnish the shrimp bruschetta with fresh basil and serve.

i just liked the show..too good.but i will prefer to use shrimps marinated with salt,pepper,garlic powder,onion powder and cheese and toss nicely and then add to the topping..wht do you say?

Love this take on bruschetta. We usually just use garlic and reggiano-Parmesano, or roasted tomatoes, or tepenade. Love the idea of shrimp.

Bruschetta is definitley a popular tasty quick Italian snack. However shrimp is a new take on it. I generally go with vegetarian one. This is obviously appears better than the local Olive Garden one.
