Shrimp And Crab Gumbo Recipe
Ingredients
| Okra package | 1 , frozen | |
| 1 Ige. onion, chopped | ||
| Green pepper | 1 To taste, chopped | |
| Tomato sauce | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Parsley | 1/3 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| 6 cooked crabs cleaned | ||
| 1 lb. cooked shrimp cleaned | ||
| Steamed rice | ||
| 1 tbsp. gumbo file | ||
Directions
Mince bacon; brown in 6-quart kettle over medium heat.
Remove bacon from kettle; reserve.
Brown okra in bacon drippings; add bacon, onion, green pepper, parsley, tomato sauce, salt, pepper and 4 cups water.
Simmer for 1 hour.
Add crabs and shrimp; simmer for 1 hour longer.
Stir file into gumbo.
Serve over rice.
