Shrimp Tolliver Recipe

Ingredients
1 pound small raw shrimp, shelled and deveined
1/4 cup olive oil
3 tablespoons lemon juice
2 tablespoons butter
1 clove garlic
1/2 cup chopped almonds
Few dashes of Tabasco sauce
2 tablespoons dry vermouth
Pinch of saffron
2 tablespoons chopped chives
2 cups cooked rice
Directions
1. Marinate the shrimp in a mixture of the olive oil and lemon juice two hours, turning the shrimp once. Drain, reserving the marinade.
2. In a skillet heat the butter, add the shrimp and garlic and cook until the shrimp turns pink. Discard the garlic and transfer the shrimp to a hot platter.
3. To the skillet add the chopped almonds, reserved marinade, Tabasco and vermouth. Heat and pour over the shrimp.
