Shrimp Perfection Aspic Recipe
Ingredients
| Sweet pepper flakes-1/4 cup | ||
| Celery flakes | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Instant minced onion | 2 Teaspoon | |
| Water | 1/3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Unflavored gelatin | 1 | |
| Cold water | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Tomato juice | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Clam Juice | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Lemon juice | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Salt | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Oregano | 1/2 Teaspoon, crushed | |
| Black pepper | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Garlic powder | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Shrimp-1 (4 1/2-ounce can each), drained | ||
Directions
MAKING
1) Soak pepper and celery flakes, minced onion, and 1/3 cup water for about 10 minutes until rehydrated.
2) Add gelatin to 1/4 cup cold water.
3) In a pan, heat tomato juice and mix gelatin in to it.
4) Now, add clam and lemon juices, seasonings, and re-hydrated vegetables. Chill until thickened.
5) To the thickened mixture add shrimp.
6) Take a 1-quart mold rinsed in cold water and transfer the mixture into it.
7) Chill again until firm.
SERVING
8) To serve, unmold it on salad greens.
