Shrimp Marinara Recipe
Ingredients
| Onion | 1 Medium, chopped | |
| Olive oil | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Green pepper -1 medium-size, chopped | ||
| Carrot | 1 , scraped | |
| Mushrooms | 1 Cup (16 tbs), sliced | |
| Garlic | 2 Clove (5gm) | |
| English peas - 1/3 cup frozen, unthawed | ||
| Red wine | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Tomato paste - 1 (6-ounce) can | ||
| Basil | 1 1/2 Teaspoon, dried | |
| Oregano | 1 Teaspoon, dried | |
| Pinch of sugar | ||
| Pepper - 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon | ||
| Water - 1/2 to 1 cup | ||
| Large shrimp | 1 pound, deveined | |
| Hot cooked linguine | ||
Directions
MAKING
1. In a large skillet add oil and heat. Add onions and saute for 2 minutes.
2. Add the next ingredients. Saute till the vegetables are tender.
3. Add wine, seasonings, tomato paste and peas. Stir the ingredients well.
4. Add 1/2 to 1 cup of water in the mixture to get the right consistency.
5. Boil. Reduce the heat when mixture starts boiling. Simmer for 5 minutes more.
6. Add the shrimps. Cook 3-5 minutes till shrimps are cooked.
FINALIZING
7. Serve the mixture on linguine.
