Shrimp Fra Diavolo Recipe
Shrimp Fra Diavolo is a sumptuous dish that is simply a joy to prepare and serve. My family loves this shrimp preparation especialy when I serve them with spaghetti! Try this Shrimp Fra Diavolo. You wont regret it. Trust me!
Ingredients
| Onion | 1 Small, chopped | |
| Green pepper | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs), finely chopped | |
| Garlic | 2 Clove (5gm), finely chopped | |
| Olive oil | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Tomatoes | 1 Can (10oz) | |
| Tomato Paste | 1 Can (10oz) | |
| Salt | 3/4 Teaspoon | |
| Basil | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Oregano | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Thyme | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Red pepper | 1/4 Teaspoon, crushed | |
| 1 1/4 pounds medium shrimp, shelled and cleaned | ||
| 1 pound hot cooked spaghetti | ||
Directions
In 3-quart casserole, combine onion, green pepper, garlic and oil.
Cook at HIGH 2 minutes.
Stir in tomatoes, tomato paste, salt, basil, oregano, thyme and red pepper.
Cover with lid.
Cook at HIGH 8 to 9 minutes; stir once.
Add shrimp; cover.
Cook at MEDIUM 3 to 4 minutes, or until shrimp are opaque; stir twice.
Let stand, covered, 1 minute.
Cook at HIGH 2 minutes.
Stir in tomatoes, tomato paste, salt, basil, oregano, thyme and red pepper.
Cover with lid.
