Shrimp Far East Style Recipe
This Shrimp Far East Style recipe has got everything to 'wow' you! The primary ingredient in this is shrimp. Best enjoyed as a Main Dish this recipe was taught to me by a dear friend who also happens to be a great chef. This Shrimp Far East Style is too good to be missed.
Ingredients
2 tablespoons reduced-sodium soy sauce
2 teaspoons brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon curry powder
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
Vegetable cooking spray
1 tablespoon vegetable oil, divided
1 1/2 cups broccoli flowerets
1 cup diagonally sliced carrots
1 medium-size sweet red pepper, seeded and cut into thin strips
1/2 cup sliced water chestnuts
1 clove garlic, minced
1 1/2 pounds medium-size fresh shrimp, peeled and deveined
1/2 cup walnut halves
Directions
Combine first 5 ingredients, stirring well.
Set soy sauce mixture aside.
Coat a wok with cooking spray.
Add 1 teaspoon oil.
Allow to heat at medium-high (325°) for 2 minutes.
Add broccoli, carrots, red pepper, water chestnuts, and garlic; stir-fry 0 minutes.
Remove vegetables from wok, and set aside.
Add remaining 2 teaspoons oil, and allow to heat for 2 minutes.
Add shrimp, stir-fry 3 minutes.
Reduce heat to 225°; odd vegetables and soy sauce mixture, tossing gently.
Cook for an additional 2 minutes.
Sprinkle with walnut halves.
