Spicy Shrimp Creole Recipe Video

Shrimp creole originates from the Louisiana region of south America. It is a hot and spicy dish, made in tomato sauce. Shrimps have to be cooked very carefully for the right taste and texture. Shrimp creole is often served with rice.

Ingredients

 
1 pound Shrimp
 
1 tsp olive oil
 
1/2 c each- celery, onion, green pepper
 
1 tsp chili powder
 
1 14 oz can stewed tomatoes
 
1 8 oz can tomato sauce
 
1 tbsp hot sauce
 
1 tbsp worcestershire sauce
 
1 tsp sugar
 
Salt and pepper to taste
 
White rice

Directions

1. Preheat crock pot.
2. Heat olive oil and saute celey,onion and pepper until in a frying pan until soft.
3. Add chili powder and cook until caramalized.
4. Add this to the crock pot.
5. Add tomatoes and tomato sauce, hot sauce, worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper and sugar.
6. Cook on high heat for 3 hours.
7. Add shrimp. Cover the pot and cook until pink.
Serve.
