Shrimp Creole Recipe
Shrimp creole is a lovely seafood creole made with vegetables. Cooked in italian dressing, the vegetables are simmered ad finished with the addition of shrimp. Spiced wih red pepper, the shrimps creole can be served over rice as a peppy and spicy dish.
Ingredients
1/2 cup Italian Dressing
1 medium green pepper, cut into chunks
1 medium onion, sliced
1 can (14 1/2 ounces) whole peeled tomatoes, undrained and chopped
1 pound uncooked medium shrimp, cleaned
1/8 teaspoon crushed red pepper
2 cups hot cooked rice
How to make Shrimp Creole
In medium skillet, heat Italian dressing and cook green pepper and onion over medium heat, stirring occasionally, 5 minutes or until tender.Stir in tomatoes and simmer covered 15 minutes.
Add shrimp and red pepper and simmer covered an additional 5 minutes or until shrimp turn pink.
