Directions

1. Wash the shrimp, if desired, but do not remove the shells.
2. Combine the remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Add the shrimp. Return to a boil, reduce the heat and simmer, uncovered, for two to five minutes, depending on the size of the shrimp.
3. Drain and serve hot with plenty of melted butter seasoned with lemon juice and Tabasco sauce; or cold with a mayonnaise and cognac sauce for shrimp. The shrimp may, of course, be shelled and deveined
