Shrimp Balado Recipe
Shrimp Balado or Udang Balado, is an authentic Javanese dish. Majorly consisting of red chilies, makes it a fiery dish but a very honest dish, something you would love to have almost everyday. This dish has no pseudo beauty and extravagance attached to it yet, the prawns tossed in the seasoning are so beautiful and plump to be popped straight into the mouth.

Ingredients
| Shrimp – 1 pound, peeled with tails intact | ||
| Lime | 2 Tablespoon, squeezed | |
| Salt | 1 To taste | |
| Chilies | 7 (Seasoning:) | |
| Red onions | 6 (Seasoning:) | |
| Garlic | 3 Clove (5gm) (Seasoning:) | |
| Small tomato - 1 | ||
| Salt | 1 To taste (Seasoning:) | |
| Sugar - to taste | ||
Directions
GETTING READY
1. Rub the lime juice and salt onto the prawns. Set aside for 15 minutes.
2. To make the Seasoning, pulse all the ingredients in a mortar or blender several times to chop finely, but do not turn into a paste. Transfer to a bowl and set aside.
MAKING
3. Heat 2 tablespoons of the oil in a wok or skillet with medium heat. Stir-fry the seasoning until fragrant and cooked.
4. Add the shrimps and mix until well blended, taking care not to overcook the shrimps. Remove from heat.
SERVING
5. Serve immediately in a plate with or without steamed rice
