Ingredients
| Sesame seeds | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Cornstarch | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Ginger | 1/2 Teaspoon, finely grated | |
| Sea salt | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Dry mustard | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Soy sauce | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Dry sherry | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Asian sesame oil - 1 tablespoon | ||
| Shrimp | 1/2 Pound | |
| Jicama | 1/2 | |
| Coriander/ cilantro | 1/3 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
Directions
MAKING
1.In a small, dry frying pan toast the sesame seeds, stirring over high heat, until lightly golden, about 2 minutes.
2.Place in a dish and keep aside.
3.In a bowl, mix cornstarch, ginger, sea salt, dry mustard, soy sauce, and sherry.
4.In a saute pan warm the sesame oil over medium-high heat.
5.Add in shrimp, reduce the heat to medium, and stir cook, until the shrimp are opaque, about 2 minutes.
6.In a bowl containing soy-sherry mixture place shrimp and any pan juices and turn to coat the shrimp.
7.Add in jicama and coat .
SERVING
8.On 4 plates, arrange shrimp and jicama .
9.Top with the sesame seeds and the cilantro and serve hot .
