Shrimp A La Mexicana Recipe
Ingredients
| 1 lb. cooked, peeled shrimp | ||
| Cooking oil | 2 Teaspoon | |
| Celery | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| Onion | 1 Medium, chopped | |
| Whole peeled tomatoes | 1 Can (10oz) | |
| Garlic | 3 Clove (5gm), minced | |
| Cayenne pepper | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | To Taste | |
| Paprika | 1 Teaspoon | |
| 1/2 cup Sauterne wine | ||
| Flour | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Cheddar Cheese | 1 Cup (16 tbs), grated | |
| Bell pepper | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
Directions
Saute the onion, bell pepper and celery in heated oil.
Add the tomatoes, garlic, pepper, salt, paprika, wine and flour.
Blend well and simmer for 45 minutes.
Add cooked shrimp and simmer for 15 minutes.
Serve over cooked white rice and top with grated cheese.
