Shortcut Beer Bread Recipe
Ingredients
| 3/4 cup dark or light beer | ||
| Butter/Margarine | 2 Tablespoon | |
| 1 13 3/4-ounce package hot roll mix | ||
| Egg | 1 | |
| Wheat germ | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Sugar | 2 Tablespoon | |
Directions
In saucepan heat beer and butter just till warm.
Pour into mixing bowl; add yeast from hot roll mix and dissolve.
Add egg, wheat germ, sugar, and flour mixture from roll mix; mix well.
Place in greased bowl.
Cover and let rise till double (45 to 60 minutes).
Punch down; knead and shape into loaf.
Place in greased 8x4x2-inch loaf pan.
Cover; let rise 35 minutes.
Bake at 350° for 40 to 45 minutes
